Listener Reviews & Comments This CD contains the best of the post-McPhatter, post-Jackie Wilson R & B from Billy Ward and The Dominoes. This reviewer has been listening to R & B, Doo-Wop, Jump Music, Blues, for over 50 years, and the Dominoes hold #1 ranking among early R & B groups, on the basis of creativity, beat, back-up harmony, and smoothness of the sound. On this CD the best songs are "Little Black Train," "Learning the Blues," "I'm Walking Behind You," "Tootsie Roll." This, along with the CD with McPhatter on lead, and another with Jackie Wilson on lead, are a must for devotees of early R & B. If the Dominoes are not in the R & Roll Hall of Fame, well, they sure as hell should be! Michael DeArmey.
