CD reissue of the 1957 album from the internationally renowned vocalist. Caterina Valente was the first truly international female Pop star. She recorded in six languages (French, German, Italian, English, Spanish and Swedish) and found success in them all; establishing fan-bases as far afield as Japan, Argentina and South Africa. From the point in 1954 when she hit number one on the German Pop charts with 'I Love Paris' she has been an institution in that country. The Germans took Caterina to their hearts in the most extraordinary and sincere fashion and decades of unbroken success followed. Caterina Valente has the finest musical pedigree of all of the post-war continental singers that are today again so in vogue. If ever one needed a testament to Caterinas sheer genius as an entertainer, this is it. El. 2007.
