Most of the tracks on this romantic jazz compilation belong to the period that came to be known as cool jazz, with Dave Brubeck, Paul Desmond, Chet Baker and Gerry Mulligan among its biggest names. These are some of the names behind the songs presented here. They are exquisitely complemented by works coming from Miles Davis, Monk (though certainly not my favorite by him), a beautiful rendition of the title track by contemporary trumpet genius Wynton Marsalis and Errol Garner's "Misty" topping the compilation to make it just perfect for a romantic rainy evening to share with your loved one with some nice wine and whatever you want to go with it.
