"Emotions ran much higher than normal on 27 September 1947, when entrepeneur Norman Granzstaged a Midnight Matinee at Carnegie Hall.
At That time, there was nothing quite like a Jazz at The Philharmonic concert to put crictics and fans at each other throats. Now, referred to as the "Perdido/Mordido/Endido" Suite,
