Alfonzo Blackwell is relentless with his musical progression throughout the many years. Y'all, I remember when his debut CD "Let's Imagine" came out back in the day. This cat can blow. I just got his latest CD "Dance To This" and I am already wearing it out! We in the south love great music and Alfonzo is really bringing the funk on this one. The CD kicks off with a BANG with the title track "Dance To This" and doesn't let up from the funk. "Talkin' Saxy" is a killer track that finishes the CD with a MFSB inspired funk trip. Alfonzo Blackwell is a true jazz master on the saxophone. Not only is he a fantastic saxophonist, he writes, produces and plays several other instruments on all of his CD compilations. He is one of the most talented musicians of this era. I've been a fan of his music for well over a decade. This CD is a must have if you know your jazz music. He's like the Miles of today.
